Tournament Rules
Tournament will be a (3) game minimum with 75-minute games.
The tourney champion will win a team trophy and player medals,
the runner up team will receive medals.

Win – 2 points, Tie – 1point, Loss – 0 points
Tiebreaker #1: Head to head
Tiebreaker #2: Least # of runs allowed
Tiebreaker #3: Run differential (up to 8 runs per game only)

Games will be 6 innings, unless rain shortened, 4 complete innings will constitute a game if rain shortened.
A 75- minute time limit will be used. When time is up, the inning will be completed.
For the Championship game, there will be no time limit.  The Championship will be determined by 6 completed innings, or 4 innings if rain shortened.

Mercy rules: 12 after 3 innings and 10 after 5 innings.

The team listed first will occupy the third base dugout.
A pre-game coin flip will determine the home team. The home team will keep official score.
For 14U bracket play, both teams will be #1 seeds and thus will use coin flip.
In 16U bracket play, the lower seed will be home team.

There will be no infield practice before games. Teams may use the edges of the field for grounders or the outfield for fly balls. Every effort will be made to start games promptly at the scheduled times. If a game ends early, please have your teams ready to get on the field and play.

Courtesy runners are allowed for the pitcher and catcher. Courtesy runners must be players who are not yet in the game. Once everyone has been in the game, the player who made the last out or the next available player on the offensive lineup is the courtesy runner. Should any other situations arise involving courtesy runners, umpires decisions are final.

EP’s (extra players) will be allowed in a lineup. You do NOT have to have EP’s in the lineup, but the option is there for coaches. An EP is simply an extra batter, and they may be substituted freely defensively for any player but must remain in the same position in the lineup (i.e. bat 10, play nine in the field, or bat 11, play nine in the field, etc.). If the coach has chosen to bat more than 9, an out is not declared if 1 player is injured when her batting position comes up. Once an injured player is removed on offense, they may not re-enter. A DP/Flex may also be used.

If the tourney is canceled due to weather prior to team completing a single game, $250 will be refunded per team that did not complete a game. All possible efforts will be made to play games as scheduled and no refunds will be made as long as a team completes a game.
